Calcutta Television Network (CTVN), headquartered in Kolkata and established by AKD Group, has been operating since 1999 as a regional cable provider. In 2006, it launched its satellite entertainment channel CTVN AKD Plus—airing lifestyle, boutique, astrology, health, beauty and education shows across West Bengal and neighbouring states .

In 2016, CTVN expanded into news with Calcutta News (CN), a free-to-air 24×7 Bengali satellite channel. Headquartered in Birati, it serves Bengali audiences locally and globally, with the motto “Apnar Kotha Amader Kontho”
