 It was in April 2013 when we were discussing about health problems being faced by Indian population today when we came across Celiac disease. 

A paediatrician in our group addressed the disease, the gastroenterologist explained the problem and the food technologist came out with the solution of gluten free food options; while the nutritionist explained benefits of gluten free food in weight loss , the business expert started searching for food items in market. 

We interacted with few celiac patients and discovered that the gluten free food was not available easily in market and one had to travel miles for it , even in metro cities ; we could well imagine the scenario in Teir II and Teir III cities and availability in rural areas was beyond imagination. 

We tried searching for food items online on marketplaces and discovered that limited options existed on reputed marketplace websites. 

We then identified few vendors with wide variety of offerings and shortlisted only those who had 100% gluten free manufacturing facilities which were FSSAI approved.

It was time for us to start a store, we did that in a small city of Sonipat in Haryana and just put up some information about our business online. 

We started getting our visitors locally, then from remote areas nearby and very soon from far off areas. 

Overwhelmed were we with the blessings and best wishes from our customers with frequent requests to enhance the variety of food options and continue the business.  

We started receiving requests from life style seekers and patients from other states to reach food items to them by courier,  thus we listed our products on a reputed marketplace which was easy since we had all the necessary formalities in place, especially FSSAI certificate for retailers. 

Listing on market place we discovered that the platform charged a very high fee to sell online , resultant of which the products were reaching to end-users at high prices. We could now understand why only expensive and limited gluten free products are available on such platforms.  

After running the gluten free retail business for 6 years , we finally decided to reach the branded and best quality gluten free food in all price ranges to each and every ecommerce serviceable area in India and thats how GLUTENF has come into existence.
